Ubisoft, the online game studio behind widespread titles like Murderer’s Creed, Prince of Persia and the Tom Clancy collection of video games will develop into a company Tezos baker, or validator node.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Ubisoft introduced its partnership with Tezos-backed Nomadic labs that can see the latter making a validator node on the Tezos community.

As a Tezos baker, Ubisoft through its Strategic Innovation Lab will be part of the group of validator nodes that authenticate and add transaction blocks to the community.
Bakers additionally distribute rewards earned from validating transactions to wallets which have delegated their staked Tezos (XTZ).
In line with the announcement, the transfer to develop into a Tezos baker is a part of Ubisoft’s broader plans of exploring the alternatives supplied by novel applied sciences like blockchain.
Following the announcement, the online game firm will add to the record of 277 bakers on the Tezos community.
Commenting on the corporate’s determination to run a validator node on the Tezos community, Nicolas Pouard, blockchain initiative director at Ubisoft acknowledged:
